Restorations

While employed with Austin Parsons, we led site work and drawings for a multi-year complete exterior restoration of two buildings on North Street, Halifax. The buildings were designed and built as a set in the 1896, and we were able to restore this pair to their original condition for another 100 years of life. This included: wood windows built with traditional joinery, storm porch replacement, copper roof, meticulous painting, and a custom owl motif. This was all carried out on a busy, narrow city sidewalk.

The Green House received the 2018 Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia award for preservation and rehabilitation of a residential building.
